Prayers Please

Tonight I am posting from my mom's hospital room. She will be eighty this coming May. Right now we don't know exactly what's wrong, but I am asking for prayers this evening. While we may not know what's wrong God does. Thank you.

Exploring Nature

When my husband and I were first married we enjoyed hiking and cave exploring. These are three layouts from our trips to Longhorn and Natural Bridge Caverns.

I created these digital layouts in Photoshop so that the photo mats color could be taken from the photo itself, thus ensuring a perfect match. I then took the RBG color values and cross checked them against popular card stock manufacturers so that when I reproduced the layouts using card stock the look would remain the same. The results were eye catching.

Valentine's Treat Bags with Bakers Twine Embellishments

Hi there, I am thrilled to be featured on The Twinery blog today!  My daughter is in the first grade this year and I wanted to create something special for her and her classmates.  Each child will receive a treat bag like the one pictured above filled with iced sugar cookies and embellished with a die cut heart and bakers twine from The Twinery.

As you can see the bag itself is made from a light brown stock, and stamped with small hearts.  I die cut the bright pink heart from Core'dinations Cardstock in the color Primrose Petals made by Stampin' Up! using my Silhouette Cameo electronic die cut machine.  I then stitched the heart using one strand from a length of Blossom Solid Bakers Twine and adhered it to the treat bag using mini glue dots.

The Happy Valentine's Day tag was created using my home inkjet printer and white stock.  I then ran that stock through my Silhouette Cameo and die cut each tag.  Once cut, the tags were embellished with a silver eyelet and attached to the heart using a mini clothespin made by Celebrate It.  The mini clothespin is embellished with a bow made from a length of Strawberry Bakers Twine.

Thank you and I hope you enjoy the project!  I will be posting a step by step how-to here on Kat Creates in a day or two so please check back for the download!
